Ikea running with GS1 system of standards to introduce a more efficient and standardised stucture to their supply chain.

IKEA also studying the possibilities and advantages of implementing RFID following their adoption of GS1 system to improve traceability,exception reporting and inventory control .They will be able to load and unload the right goods automatically.IKEA will not be developing their own RFID system but will follow the standards that exits.They start to plan to carrying out RFID tests next year at a number of stores for certain product flows.

Manugistics collaborate with Ikea since year 2001.

Results
Manugistics implemented its solutions in the three main regions. There are approximately 700 users now live with the new solution.
